- Determined and selected optimal target group for a Direct Mail campaign at ING Card; improved ROI directly attributable to this: € 130.000.
- Designed an address classification model to circumvent the need to buy (premium price) addresses from external vendors; initial savings € 70.000 (with ongoing savings still accruing).
- Assisted in large scale production database conversion at ING Card. Result was close to zero-defect target database.
- Featured regularly on international conferences on Client focused marketing, CRM, and Database Marketing. Feedback typically alludes to clarity of content for seemingly complex topics (e.g. Data Mining).
- Regular tutor at ING in-company MBA program ( TIAS Business School ) on Information based decision making. Feedback typically alluded to material being highly actionable.
- Assisted in major data cleaning project at ING Card which resulted in improved data quality. It was determined that this improvement resulted in 7-figure net gains.
- Participated in ING Group global tool selection task force (core team) aimed at analytical CRM. The subject areas covered: research (analysis), query & reporting tools, campaign management tools, ETL, Data Warehousing. Result: a mandatory ‘tool basket’ was enforced by the ING board for all regions to use.
- Trained integral cohort of Direct Marketers at ING Bank to become effective with state-of-art Data Mining suite (SAS Enterprise Miner), and likewise at Postbank (Data Distilleries).
- Assisted in ING Group corporate communication research, which resulted in changed focus on branding.
- Assisted in state-of-art analysis of ING Bank customer survey data. Result: client satisfaction could be unambiguously tied in with customer profitability & improved survey design called for lower fieldwork costs.
- Helped set up and debug effective credit scoring module at ING Card.
- Developed, built and delivered an accurate forecasting module for a major Dutch non-profit organization (Grote Club Actie).
- Developed and built an automated quantitative library collection module to make recommendations to 200 library organizations. This resulted in lower procurement costs yet better appreciated library collections (PBC).
- Designed and implemented a comprehensive library satisfaction survey (PBC).
- Several in-depth web usage analysis projects & site visitor segmentation. This resulted in: redesign of home page, increased traffic on target pages, reallocation of development resources.
